1. The service
Akinator Bot is a Discord game. You think of a character, animal, or object, answer questions with buttons, and the bot tries to guess what you have in mind. It also keeps scores, profiles, and leaderboards, and lets server managers choose settings such as the game channel, language, categories, and cooldowns.
The bot's code and hosting belong to this service. Harsh Kohli runs it at harshkohli.com.
2. Agreement
By inviting the bot, starting a game, or using a slash command, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, remove the bot from your server and stop using it.
You must also follow the Discord Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines, because the bot is used inside Discord.
3. Who may use it
You may use the bot only if you are allowed to use Discord. Server managers who invite the bot confirm they have permission to add applications to that server.
4. How to play
Games start with /akinator start. You answer with the buttons on the game message. A correct guess can record points, a streak, and a leaderboard result. Stopping a game, restarting it, or leaving it idle can record the round as abandoned.
Scores, win rates, and levels are game statistics. They have no cash value and can be changed if a bug, an outage, or an abuse case makes a result unreliable.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- spam commands, buttons, or game sessions, or try to overload the bot;
- break, probe, or bypass the bot or Discord, except through a report to Harsh Kohli;
- use the bot to harass, threaten, or post unlawful material;
- resell access to the bot or scrape player records for an unrelated product.
Harsh Kohli may ignore abusive interactions, end sessions, turn on maintenance mode, or stop offering the bot in a server that breaks these terms.
6. Servers and administrators
A server manager can limit where games are played, choose categories and language, set cooldowns and idle timeouts, lock games to public or private, and name an admin role. Those choices apply to that server.
Public games and leaderboard commands can be seen by people who can see the channel. Private games and setting confirmations are sent as ephemeral replies when Discord allows it.
7. Availability
The game depends on Discord and on the bot remaining online at harshkohli.com. A guess can be wrong, an image can be missing, and a game can expire. The bot is provided as available, without a promise that it will be uninterrupted or that every guess will be correct.
Harsh Kohli may update, pause, or shut down the bot, clear active games, or post an announcement in a server's system channel. Active games are kept in memory and can end when the bot restarts.
8. The bot and the website
The bot software and this website are operated by Harsh Kohli. You keep the ordinary rights in text you submit through the bot, such as a custom category name. You give permission for that text to be stored and displayed as needed to run the feature.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The bot and these pages are provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, Harsh Kohli disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the extent the law allows, Harsh Kohli is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost scores, or server disputes. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
10. Changes
These terms may be updated by posting a new version on this page and changing the date above. Continuing to use the bot after an update means you accept the new terms.
